Ancient Path Biblical Coaching is a place where men write their stories, walk courses together and are known. What you write here is yours. This page says what we keep, why, who helps us keep it, and how you can have it changed or removed.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address, and the courses and groups you join.
- What you write: the pieces you write and save on Your Page (a lament, a poem, your chapters, a stone), your check-ins, and the readings you mark as helpful.
- Your choices: whom you invite to walk with you, what you share with them, and how you want to hear from us.
- If you choose texts: your mobile number.
- If you pay or book: what you bought or booked. Card details go to our payment service, never to us.
- How the site is used: pages visited and how long, without anything you wrote.
Why we keep it
To run your courses and groups, to keep your writing for you, to send the notices you asked for, and to learn which readings and pages help men most. We never sell what we keep, and we never use what you write to advertise to you.
Who can see what you write
- You. Everything you write starts kept for you alone.
- Your witness, the one person who walks your road with you, sees only what you choose to share. By default that is your taps (the path you marked, whether a reading helped), not your words. You can change it or pause it any time in Settings.
- Your group sees only what you bring to it.
- Other readers see a piece only if you offer it and our team reads and approves it. You choose how your name shows (full name, first name only, or none), and you can have it taken down at any time.
- Our team can see what is saved on the site to keep it running and to keep men safe (see below). We read your writing only when you share it with us or offer it, or when the safety section requires it.
When we share without your permission
Only in two cases: when someone may be in danger right now, and when the law requires it, including Texas law on reporting harm to a child or a vulnerable adult. If that happens, we share only what is needed, with the people who must know.
Who helps us run the site
These services keep or carry some of your information for us, under their own privacy terms:

When you press a story helper button, the part you are working on is sent to Anthropic's Claude to answer you. Nothing is sent until you press a button, and we keep no copy of what Claude returns except what you choose to save.
Text messages
We send text messages only to people who choose Text in Settings on their page (or, for someone invited as a witness, when he accepts), give us their mobile number and press Start Texts. A text says only that something is waiting for you on ancientpathcoaching.com, or that your group is about to meet (the day, the hour and the link); it never carries what you wrote or what anyone wrote to you. At most one text a day, never between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM Central. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end these texts, HELP for help. Texts are optional and never a condition of any purchase or of joining a group. We never share or sell mobile numbers, opt-in data or text-message consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Emails
We email you about your courses, your group and your page. Every marketing email has a way to unsubscribe. If someone invites you to be their witness, we email you only the invitation and the pages they share with you; we never add you to a mailing list.
Your choices
- See, change or delete what you wrote, on Your Page.
- Take down a piece you offered, at any time.
- Change what your witness sees, or pause their notes, in Settings.
- Stop texts by replying STOP, or stop emails with the unsubscribe link.
- Ask us for a copy of what we keep about you, or to delete your account and everything you wrote, through our Contact page. We answer within 30 days.
Age
Ancient Path is for adults, 18 and older. Our writing pages ask you to confirm your age, and we do not knowingly keep information from anyone younger.
Keeping it safe
What you write is kept behind your sign-in. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn that your information was exposed, we will tell you.
Changes to this page
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or on Your Page before it takes effect.
